As Chairman/CEO of Sony Music Latin Iberia, Afo Verde follows the lead of the label’s artists. Drawing on his own storied experience as a songwriter, producer, and guitarist, he naturally approaches the business from the perspective of a creative, first and foremost. This philosophy has cemented him as a transformative force in not only Latin music, but also global culture at large. He stands out as a Latin GRAMMY® Award winner, Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, and a fixture on lists such as the Billboard Power 100, Billboard Latin Power Players, and many more. He also became the “First Hispanic Executive To Receive the T.J. Martell Foundation’s Lifetime Music Industry Achievement Award.” Named Chairman/CEO in 2012, his purview encompasses 12 regional offices and 20 countries, including industry leader Sony Music U.S. Latin.
